Improvement meme - 2007 to 2014

My purpose of doing this meme is purely for fun and the sake of laughing of myself with my friends, so feel free to do so too. As for myself I don't see a strong improvement on my art, I see a really slow progress (??) but I appreciate a huge change on anatomy

2000 to 2007 - I have a handful of drawings of that period (2000 to 2007) since my mother decided to throw them away. I brought my first tablet when I was 15 (I saved and I purchased the cheapest one in the shop). Before that I used to draw with mouse on Oekaki boards when I was around 12.

2007 - I joined DeviantArt this year but I barely used my computer for anything. I found Photoshop really complicated to use and I wasn't comfortable with my tablet yet. I don't have many memories of what I used to draw, but I remember I drew my friends a lot in my class notebooks. 

2008 - During these years I couldn't careless about anatomy and anything related to effort, but after I joined TegakiE (a website where you draw in a single layer) I created my very first OC and I decided to take effort on my art and improve anything I could. I was still uncomfortable using Photoshop, we didn't click yet, but is what I used for drawing and coloring.

2009 - I continued drawing on TegakiE and used Photoshop for coloring my sketches on my class notes. I gave a try to SAI but I never really didn't liked it, so I stuck with Photoshop. I brought my own computer for my college needs, and that somehow gave me more freedom to draw whatever crossed my mind.

2010 - During this period is when I was the most active on TegakiE and I created most of my original characters. I also tried to join various Deviantart roleplay groups, but I failed at being active and meet new people (too shy).

2011 - Starting to use less TegakiE because of college projects. I still used Photoshop at the beginning of the year for all my art, but I still disliked the way I did the lineart with it. Randomly I found out about Clip Paint Lab and I'm in love with it since then. I made the strong New Year purpose to draw more males, concept art and try a more lineless coloring style.

2012 - I joined lots of dA roleplay groups that somehow "forced" me to draw more with it's deadlines and inspired me to try different ideas and programs. I gained more fantastic friends and I had lots of fun. I got hooked up with American comics and cartoons thanks to a college friend and Tumblr. It widened my world a lot, making me look upon lots of talented artists from all around the globe. Went to my first convention to sell my art and I started taking commissions. Both made me gain lots of confidence on my art and rise my hopes on improving and search for an art related job.

2013 - This was my last year at college and my slowest one regarding art pieces. Most of my artworks were related to my thesis project, commissions, doodles and very few fanarts. Aside from that, I tried a new coloring style inspired in Rembrand that I enjoy a lot. I still needs a lot of practice to make it beautiful, but I like it. Tried on doing a webcomic again, which failed some months later because of work, and once I graduated I started working as a comic book colorist.

2014 - I haven't done much art either this year! I spend most of the time working as a freelance graphic designer for 3 different companies and jumping from part-time job to part-time job while doing commissions. I participated in a charity art book for children with cancer and I was part of an art exhibit here in Barcelona.

2015 - I don't know yet! I'm moving out overseas but I have high expectations and projects to do this year.
